From 1999 to 2006, the Emmy-laden NBC drama managed to make government sexy and stirring, while also humanizing the people behind politics. “We were on the air at a time when there was a lot of discomfort in the country,” says Sheen. “That was the most gratifying part of the whole thing, that we served as a measure of inspiration.” [x]
I’m much, much more vocal about my love of other shows, but I don’t think any series has ever stirred the same level of devotion or love in me as The West Wing has, nor has any show been so perfect in my eyes or had as much effect on who I am. None of them could mean as much. ♥

Bradley Whitford by Chris Buck
I became obsessed with Elisabeth Moss years and years ago, when literally the only people who knew who she was were West Wing fans. All those years ago, there were basically zero pictures of her ever. Today I google image’d her for the first time since then, and the pages just went on and on and on.
It’s amazing what a few short years can do. ♥
